Where should we stay?

We now have room blocks at 2 area properties. Please book soon if you are considering staying at one of these properties as we can possibly add more rooms to the blocks if needed but the sooner the better as the properties are filling up. The properties are 10-20 minutes away, depending on which location you choose and traffic. Please see the travel page for details. There are also some Airbnb properties in Mount Vernon if you are looking for other options. We recommend booking as soon as you can. There are World Cup soccer games in Seattle in July and we've been told that all areas hotels are expected to sell out for the month.

What airport should we fly into?

There are 3 area airports: 1. The closest is Bellingham International Airport. It is a small airport servicing Allegiant Airlines and also with connections from Seattle through Alaska Airlines. It is about 30 minutes to the Hampton Inn in Burlington, 40 minutes to the venue and 45 minutes to the La Conner Inn. 2. Seattle Paine Field - This is another small airport in Everett, WA which services Alaska Airlines. It is about 45 minutes from the venue and an hour to La Conner Inn. This airport is very easy to get in and out of. 3. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This large airport is located south of Seattle near Tukwila. This airport services all the major airlines and is about 90 minutes to the venue.

What will the weather be like?

We will update as we get closer to the actual date, but the highs at this time of the year are expected to be 70-80, with the lows 50-60. July averages less than half an inch of rain, but this is Washington so there is always a chance.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both, weather permitting - The ceremony will be outdoors with the cocktail hour(s) and reception indoors. If the weather is nice there will be some outside high top tables and chairs and yard games available throughout the main cocktail hour and reception. At this time of the year sunset is generally light outside until about 9:30pm.

What should we wear?

Cocktail Attire, but summer appropriate. No shorts or t-shirts please.

Can I bring a guest?

We are having to limit the number of people who can attend our wedding, so please refer to the addressee(s) on your save the date or wedding invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sandra or Jared directly.

Can I bring my kids?

We are having to limit the number of people who can attend our wedding, so only the children of close family members or very young children of out of town guests are being allowed. Please refer to the addressees on your save the date or wedding invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sandra or Jared directly.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes! Online RSVP's are now open. Please click on RSVP from the home page of this website. Enter your first and last name as it is addressed on the envelope of your invitation to search for your name. If you have any issues please reach out to Sandra or Jared.

Will there be parking at the venue?

There are 25 spaces available in the venue parking lot and additional parking available in the field across the road from the venue.

If I do not have a car, how will I get to and from the venue?

Uber and Lyft service is available in the area. If you are staying at the same hotel as other wedding guests, it is recommended that you share rides when possible.

Will there be an "After Party" after the reception.

The tentative plan is for a casual "After Party" gathering at the Swinomish Casino after the reception. More details to follow.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please respond as soon as you can but no later than June 12th. Be sure to answer the questions regarding special dietary needs and food allergies.

If I am driving in from Canada is there anything I should be aware of?

If you have not crossed the border recently, please be sure to check estimated border wait times and be aware of all requirements to enter the US. Current wait times are reportedly significantly longer than they have been in the recent past.
